Today

This morning while cartoons were on Randy put Dora on the laptop for Sophia, and although Max tried really hard not to watch it he couldn't help himself.

What can I say?

Randy had the great idea to surprise the kids and take them to the little carival going not too far from home tonight. They had a lot of fun, and Henry patiently watched everyone.

Everyone rode a little helicopter.

Alex went down the big slide. His eyes were SO BIG on the way down we thought he might be upset, but he had a great time and was so glad he went on it.

Max and Sophia went in the jumpy house, that literally deflated about 2 minutes after they got out. (Don't worry no one got hurt and they got it back up and running quickly.)

Some Random Pictures

How did I miss putting a picture of Chris and the catch of the week while we were at Black Lake.

Henry's 1st Cereal

Last Thursday, I believe, Henry turned 5 months old already! Tonight he got his first bites of cereal. Sophia fell asleep on the couch as Randy read to everyone before the big event, but the boys didn't. They were very excited and thought he'd really like it, he seemed indifferent to it like all our kids have. Of course, the boys thought he was getting Coco Puffs when we said ceral and he probably would have been more excited about that.

His first bite.

Two Weeks Ago

Two weeks ago Alex finished up a week in Iowa alone and so to get him back to us in New York his Grandma and Grandpa Steffen met us at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. G&G Steffen (and Alex) picked up Sara and Oliver on the way to the museum. And our family, plus my aunt Eileen, uncle pat, my cousins and my one cousin's fiance all met at the museum. It was one big happy group! In addition, it was Star Wars Days at the museum. We were all very impressed and had tons of fun!

Uncle Pat, Kara, and Sophia in the dinosaur exhibit - no star wars in there.

All the kids and their godmothers were together that day, so we had to get a picture of them together. From left to right it is Sara with Alex, Emily with Sophia, Eileen with Henry and Sarah with Max.

Opps!

I forgot to mention on the last post Henry was baptized July 26 (the Sunday after we got back from Black Lake). I have a little catching up to do on this blog.:)

What else we've been doing.

Most of our family had to leave Sunday, but Sara, Eric, and Oliver were still here Monday so we made a trip to the zoo. Isn't Aunt Kathy a good sport?

Kelli (our niece) turned 18 on the same day Henry was baptized, here she is with her birhtday cake.

Fun, fun, fun

Well, it's been weeks since I've posted because we've been busy having a lot of fun, which is what summer is for, right? To start with we went to Black Lake, NY and vacationed with a big bunch of Randy's family. From top to bottom you can see we relaxed, Alex became the goofy golf king- here he is with his grandpa Steffen and Alex's two great uncles,Fr. Arnie and Ralph. We just hung out with each other as you see Henry and his cousin, Oliver doing. We took a boat ride through the 1,000 islands to Boldt castel - here you get a peak of Max "driving the boat". Alot of cards were played. Of course we took a lot of boat rides and people fished. We had a great time and have started planning next year's trip already.
