First tooth gone, and the jig is up.

Alex lost his first tooth! It came out , Randy helped it a little, before school. (It's on the bottom, the one on the top was pulled when he was 14 months old, so it doesn't count.) We reminded him the toothfairy would come and he thought that sounded good. But then after school he started asking me if we (mom and dad) were the toothfairy. I asked what he thought, at first he said no, but then asked again. I repeated myself. Then he asked if I knew who the toothfairy was. I said yes. He quickly responded, "Tell me." I asked numerous times if he really wanted to know. He did, so I whispered in his ear that it was mom and dad just playing a fun game. That satisfied him and he quickly said he wouldn't tell Max or other kids at school. Then tonight when I went in to sing him and his brother a good -night song and pray with them, he was sobbing. He was so heartbroken we would get rid of his tooth. I assured him we could keep this one and he could still get his money. But quickly added, we can't keep all the teeth he looses.

Congratulations, Alex on losing your first tooth! And tell your Mom that Heidi's tooth fairy DID keep ALL of her baby teeth and brought them back to her when she was a teenager! :)

I don't think I'll let Alex in on the fact Heidi has all her baby teeth.

Good job Alex! When Amy discovered she got money for her baby teeth she decided to pull all her teeth to buy a new bike!! (with quarters!) Luckily we explained she wouldn't have enough money and that she wouldn't be able to eat anything except babyfood for a long time!!
