Henry hasn't been gaining weight like he should, so we're supplementing with formula. It has been so fun for the other kids. They want to feed Henry every chance they get. As of Friday Henry had gained 2 oz in 2 days which is great, but he still hasn't gained quite enough. By 2 weeks of age he should be up to his birthweight, but he 7 oz shy. They think maybe because he was early it's harder for him to suck and that he tires out before he's full. So we'll keep feeding him and see how he's doing at his next doctor's appointment Monday (March 30).

kaia was small & slow to gain too. i didn't have to supplement, but i had to wake her & make her eat. i'm glad all that is past, but she's still small. maybe henry will be too. were the other kids bigger as babies?
Mindy, Hi! I didn't have any trouble with the boys gaining weight, but Sophia was slower. Those first few months are kind of their own tri-mester, don't you think? How are you guys doing?
Glad to see the clan as adjusted to Henry. It is so hard when they are not gaining. Danielle almost didn't get to come home so we were so nervous those first few days with her. She has caught up now--and I am sure Henry will too!
It looks like you have many willing helpers to give Henry extra snacks! He'll be big before you know it! Kelli & I can't wait to come see all of you. See you soon.
